A Case Study on How a Motorsports STEM Summer Camp Improves Mathematics Among High School Students and Young Adults
This study examines the impact of a six-week Motorsports Summer Bootcamp designed to increase interest in motorsports careers and strengthen mathematics skills. Grounded in applied STEM and experiential learning, the program engaged students in hands-on motorsports activities to build academic competencies while introducing career pathways in engineering and automotive technology. Pre-test and post-test data from 50 participants showed a 10% increase in math literacy. This improvement suggests that motorsports-based educational programs may be an effective tool for enhancing math skills and engaging underrepresented students in STEM and motorsports career opportunities.
